On April 25, 2015, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal, destroying more than 90% of homes in several districts near the epicenter. It killed nearly 9,000 people and injured nearly 22,000. The country still needs help in reconstructing itself a year and a half after the devastation. Donations will help reconstruct many buildings in the Sindhupalchowk district, such as the Takure Primary School, a women's center and villagers' homes.
